Real instruction without the fluff

Yes

I've had my daughter in a Tae Kwondo class for years and watched several kids that couldn't defend themselves from a fly receive black belts through their program.

When Covid hit we switched to Martinez since they just opened up locally to us and our previous group stopped having in person classes.

After only a month my 10yo smallest in her class daughter could actually kick hard enough to hurt me while practicing (actually had to buy practicing mits), she has learned how to block and punch appropriately as well which exceeds everything she has been taught prior.

The other review is why I'm writing this, I have spoken in depth with this man and he is a firm believer in self defense. . you defend yourself until the threat is neutralized. . my daughter has yet to defend herself from the bad parented boys in her school, which I've grown tired of personally.

He has never told me I couldn't watch my children, even through Covid, I think he had taken a week off once to be safe when he had gotten sick but that's about it.

If someone child is lashing out at other students it's not because of this man as he's a genuine professional and his wife is pretty cool too. . very family friendly and personable training. . small classes and he's clearly not in it to make a fortune, I belive it gets a little more costly once you get into competitions but otherwise the amount of gear needed and the price he charges monthly are very reasonable.

My child has become more violent

Jan 13 2021 by John (Parent of a Student with 6 Months - 1 Year Experience at this school)

No!

I enrolled my child here for the exercise and to learn more self discipline. My child has become increasingly more violent. She is now hitting and kicking her classmates unprovoked. We are not allowed to view the trainings due to the China virus so I’m unsure of what is actually being taught.
