The Filipino martial arts are a weapon based art, they place a heavy emphasis on the use of weapons. The Filipino martial arts primary weapon is the stick/sword, through study of the motion of the stick/sword we translate and apply that movement to the application and use of other weapons as well as to empty hands. This is a sophisticated and comprehensive martial art that involves empty hands (kicking, punching, joint locking, sweeping & throwing), single stick/sword, double stick/sword, single knife, double knife, stick/sword & knife, etc.
