The instructors are always energetic and patient with the little kids. They are so helpful and very disciplined.

The sessions our children were in looked like fun! Our kids tried it out first (thanks to some family friends), and my wife and I started soon afterwards because we didn't see why our children should have all of the fun. Our kids are very confident when dealing with others, whether as group leaders or when supporting their teammates. Our children are also very resistant to peer pressures, which is very important to my wife and I as the parents of teenagers. Finally, they know that good things just don't happen to them without hard work on their part. The instructors are knowledgeable, engaging, and very personable. They are very good at identifying "opportunities for improvement" without making you feel like a failure. They treat you like family!

We have been attending classes for several years and have been extremely happy. In my opinion, the instructors make all the difference when working with kids. The instructors we have had were all VERY positive when working with the kids while teaching the kids "life" lessons as well as Martial Arts. Excellent life skills such as, try your best, respect others, self control, and hard work are just a few of the skills that JJ has learned. JJ is excited to attend class and show off his skills to his family! The experience is not always "easy", but very rewarding to say the least. I highly recommend to anyone considering Martial Arts for their kids to attend a class and see for yourself the positive impact the instructors can make on your child.

Being a Former U. S. Marine and learning different self defense tactics and as child growing up taking Karate and Aikido, I know the importance of taking a martial art and the value it gives the individual. I wanted to give Avianna an opportunity to incorporate her skills and strength from Gymnastics into a new discipline. I thought at her age she was ready to understand some of the forms and structure the martial arts provide. It was important for my wife and I to place our daughter in a positive, encouraging and healthy environment. We were looking for many things such as self control, respect and self defense. We found all that and more at the Martial Arts of America Studio in Pleasanton, CA. We have experienced improved listening and self control. We have also observed more respect for herself and others. Thank you very much. I like how they put the fun into martial arts with the children. Most of the Instructors still have the structure but also require the kids to have manners and show respect towards everyone. We appreciate all your hard work in developing the programming and encouraging my daughter to become a better person, which these skills can be kept for ever.

My son has better focus and more responsible. I like that the instructors and programs are really concentrate on the children having fun learning self defense and developing their characters.

My son Grady started about 2 months ago. He is absolutely in love with the Saturday morning instructors. They move fast paced and keep it so fun for him that he rarely loses focus, which is hard for a 4 year old. Even on the days that he is tired and doesn't get a nap he leaves your school a much happier, well behaved little man. He even sleeps through the night after a lesson at karate. In a very short time he has learned how to utilize his over-whelming amount of energy in an extremely positive way with this program. Thanks Ms. Flynn & entire staff!

David has only been in the class for about a month and he is very excited to continue learning different moves. The program is structured, teaches kids respect. The instructors make it fun for the kids while teaching them values and defensive moves.

One of the great things my son learned by doing martial art is perseverance. Through the process of advancing his belt level one by one and learning different forms at every belt level, he is learning a very important value of life. They teach kids at their interest level. I see her use her words more often when she doesn't like something, I see her trying new things and not giving up right away when she's having a hard time with something. LOVE the program! The class are run well, with a great combination of athleticism and mental, skills. The instructors are kid-friendly, yet firm with the kids, just perfect!

Mrs Flynn is simple #1 instructor. She is highly respected by students and parents. She teaches not only martial arts forms and other technicalities but also how to be a good human being and how to respect and stand up against bullies. Both my kids have been going to this school since they were 5 years (so been coming here for about 5+ years now) and we know we made the right decision. The other thing we like is this school is like a family, there are lot of events and seminars that we can all attend as a family. Both the kids participate in tournaments and look forward to winning medals! It has definitely built their confidence level. I would highly recommend this school and rightly deserve the 5 star rating.

Just the other day Abriana was telling me that at school a little girl was pulling on her and trying to bully her into playing with her. Abriana proudly told me " I used my karate voice and told her I don't like that, please stop". She was extremely proud of herself and I was extremely proud of her and grateful for this program. The girls like the challenge and the sense of accomplishment they get when they earn a new belt or master a new skill.
