Best place to be if you’re serious about your health!

I have to admit I was apprehensive about joining a martial arts discipline. I’m 70 years old, had a total hip replacement 7 months prior & definitely out of shape. And, after the first class I wondered if I was going to keep up.

Fast forward 3 months later, I’m still a rookie, and getting stronger, better posture, mental sharpness just to mention a few benefits. The instructors are always positive & encouraging. Their knowledge covers muscular strength plus internal fitness. And, at 70, keeping my internal organs fit goes a long way to quality of life as I age.

There were two suggestions I was given early on. One, be gentle with myself. Everyone in class began just like I did - even the instructors. Second, just focus on getting through the door. They’ll take care of the rest. Believe me, on days that I feel tired, having that goal has served me well. I always feel much better when I leave.

So, no matter what age (my husband is 80), or condition you’re in, Martial Arts Center for Health is the place to be!

Terrible center and terrible people

The owners have such a bad attitude. I believe you should wish students luck and not bash them for leaving the dojo. Who knows when that student may refer someone to you or even comeback at some point. I will never go back due to the lack of respect from this organization and as I left late 2015 I could see the center going down. I have spoken to a few people and they have also left the center and from what I am hearing more are on the way out of the center. Not good news for them but if the owners give everyone attitudes then that is what they get.

Mother of a child with bad experience

My child attended this school for a little while but got so bored he would cry every time I would bring him to the center. He said the work outs are not very interesting and the instructors seem to not care to much about kids technique as he could see many of them were not doing it right and the instructor was, still saying it was correct. It costs a lot of money to train here and we as parents were expecting a little bit more. I have put my child at another school and he is doing a lot better and the quality of instruction is a lot better as well. Leave if you can. Look for another school. Iam paying 99 dollars a month for my child to do taekwondo and did not pay a, single penny in registration. The owner was not nice when I told them I would be pulling my child out and they have major attitudes toward people that leave the center.

No contact hard wood floors. This center is more then set to head out of business with the way they are going. Martial arts had evolved since the old days and these people do not have any idea, as to what evolution is and how to go with the time and evolve. You charge 220 a month iam surprised I stayed even one year with you all knowing I could have gone to a lot better gym. I agree with the review that came up a couple days ago. . pricey, no certification for the black belts and it's just horrible. .get away get out. .big big big scam

Scam place for martial arts

Expensive. Mystery masters and an owner who instructs from behind but never makes appearances into his own center to check in with students. They say he(thomas the owner) trains in asia on his own with masters and passes the knowledge to them. Who are these masters? Why do we not get their names and how can we see credibility? Trained for a month and left. Not martial arts. Center is in desperate need of students and I can see why. Prices are expensive, not practical self defense either bc the opponent is always complying and allowing you to do the tecnique. Also another thing I did find out from some of the students who apparently had achieved their black belts be it 1st or 2nd stripe that there was nothing handed to them as far as certification goes that they are legitimate black belts. Sounds odd to me because where I train now you recieve a certificate with each belt you achieve. Sounds like a scam to me. If you continue to train here you are wasting your money and time. Leave this center and save your money. Your bank account will be happy you did not waste it training with people who don't even know who the head master is. Could be a guy a lady or even a lizard

Growing up with MACH

Seven years ago we enrolled our then eight year old son Gabriel.   The idea was to find him something active and fun to do.   Little did we know that we were getting so much more.   MACH is a family.  Many places say that, but for them it is true.

MACH not only focuses on training them to have strong and healthy bodies, they train them to have strong and healthy minds as well. Gabriel would frequently come home with “homework” requiring him to think of ways to put into practice some of the character traits that they had been working on. Confidence, determination, discipline and respect for self and others are just a few of the traits that MACH has encouraged. The lessons that he has learned as a child will continue to help him throughout his adult life.

Gabriel is currently working towards his 2nd degree blackbelt. Along the way, he has been challenged and encouraged to excel at every aspect of his training. The look of pride on his face as he accomplishes another goal is priceless.

If you are looking for more than the run of the mill “karate” school, you've found the right place. You will be joining a family.

My wife and I have been training at MACH since January, 2011 and we couldn't be happier with our choice. Thomas and Eva, the owners of the school really care about the students and the atmosphere is always positive. The instructors are first-class and they teach multiple classes per day, adding a great deal of flexibility to when you train. We couldn't be happier!

Best school for health and energy

I have trained at the Martial Arts Center for Health for over 8 years. The instructors are taught by one person and many have over 10 years experience teaching. The Center is a place for families to train where each individual is a valuable member of the class and the goal of the group is encourage and help each other to attain our personal goals. My mom and my son train there and they love it. My mom says she's never felt so much improvement in her back and neck before and my son loves the teachers and really gets into the forms. I love the variety of arts we learn. Tai chi, kung fu, bagua and the art of energy, called qigong. I'm never bored and we do fun activities in class which makes our workouts entertaining!
