Programs & Class Schedule
Are you looking for an effective and practical martial art for the streets? Look no Further! Malay Combat Systems is geared for the streets where there are no sparring points, no rules, no judges and almost always a weapon will come into play. Our Class curriculum covers Filipino Martial Arts, Indonesian Martial Arts and Muay Thai/Boran. This is an Adult Only Studies Class. Warning: this is not a sport art! All Classes are taught in a friendly, fun and professional atmosphere.
All Classes have an emphasis on partner drills, from standing(striking, striking templates, locking, throwing, choking and breaking)that go to the ground, with and without weapons, including mitt work that follows to the ground. Impact weapons and bladed weapons curriculum are emphasized. The weapons curriculum is taught alongside the empty hand curriculum which both share the same concepts and strategies as well as motion grouping.
Guro Phil Matedne, has 35 plus years of extensive Martial Arts experience learning from numerous Masters in the United States, Philippines and Indonesia.
