Judo is a highly effective use of the body and spirit. Building on the legacy left by Sensei Ishikawa, 9th Dan and twice All Japan champion, Judo training at Main Line Judo under Thomas Blair, 6th dan, is the robust and energetic practice of skills and techniques maximizing the use of our resources. But Judo is more than a recreational activity, a competitive sport or martial art; it is an approach to life that promotes tactical thinking, educates, teaches, disciplines and helps build citizens. Our success goes beyond the dojo; it extends to an individual's respect for those with whom we work, compete and play. What is taught at Main Line Judo's dojo (training hall) and what is learned about Judo are not where Judo training stops, but where it starts.
