Lone Star Black Belt Academy
"LSBBA" has been a great Martial Arts Dojo for our 8 year old Son. Who is now in his almost 4th year of training under Instructor Steven Jackson for his Black Belt. Not only has he taught and in steeled in our Son the discipline and respect of becoming a Black Belt in the Dojo but outside of the Dojo as well. Our Son has been competing since he was in the beginners division and we have seen from one extreme to the other that LSBBA was and is the BEST CHOICE we have made for our Son.
Mr. Jackson and the LSBBA Staff gives Christopher "lil Hulk" the confidence that he needs to accomplish anything he puts his mind to for an 8 year old. We started with not knowing what to expect and after 3 and half years later we leave every day with an 8 year old that loves to have fun and learn new things. And also still has the same enthusiasm as the first day he started. We could not ask for a better teacher and staff.
Now for the contract part of LSBBA, nothing to complain about at all. The Staff as well as Mr. Jackson sits down with you and explains in detail of what you are getting into, it's all right there in black and white to read for yourself before you sign ;-)

Jackson is more interested in sucking in new clients. He is great with the beginners classes, once you get to the advanced classes, he will only pay attention to those who will do competitions and neglect those who do not. My child was a camo belt for 3 cycles with an impossible ever changing goal to learn and master a total of 5 katas (with very little In class instruction) to advance to the next belt. A total esteem crusher for a 7 year old. Advice: Do not sign a two year contract. We ended up paying for 7 months for no service.
