I have balance issues due to a degenerative disease and PTSD. These Karate classes have greatly improved my balance and stability as well as coordination. My PTSD has gotten so much better, after years of therapy this is the thing that has made the most difference.
Sensei (instructor) is sympathetic to Women's issues, and has a strong focus on self-defense. The children in class learn focus, respect and responsibility all while having a great time. The price is definitely a bargain especially for families.
Sensei Marci Faustini helped me to rehabilitate my body after hip replacement surgery. When I started taking Karate at The Living Hope Dojo, (at the age of 54) I had very little balance and my coordination was slow. I could barely lift my left leg off the floor to work on the kicks. Within a few weeks I felt and saw great improvements in my flexibility and balance. Shortly thereafter, my balance, flexibility and coordination were restored. For me, Karate is about wellbeing as a whole. Physically, Mentally, Emotionally and Spiritually I am a better person because I chose to practice with Sensei Faustini at The Living Hope Dojo.
