Real self defense training not sports

I've been with Lionheart from the beginning, while they are fairly new to Krav Maga, all their instructors have several years of teaching and training in other styles, someone stated that Jonathan Clay Hall doesn't have a blackbelt (I'm pretty sure I know who this was) this is an outright twisting of the truth, I've known Mr. Hall for 7 yrs, trained under and with him, he was a 2nd degree blackbelt with another school that entire time, and taught there for over 10 years. The lead instructor threw a temper tantrum when Mr. Hall left, and "stripped him of his belt with that school". The idea of stripping someone of their belt because they move on to something else is ridiculous, and extremely petty. If I get a bachelors degree at one college, but decide to do my graduate work at another, does the first college take away my bachelors degree out of pettiness? Mr Hall is an experienced instructor, and knows what he is doing, Lionheart recognizes his previous achievements, and belts. As for someone getting hurt, that is a possibility in any martial arts class, we are not in a book club, we are learning how to fight and protect ourselves, that's what martial arts is about. Lionheart does not teach sport fighting, they teach self defense in the real world. They are aware and do thier best to minimize the risks, and keep safety in mind at all times.

There are more instructors than just Clay Hall. There is Jason Burrous is been teaching Krav Maga for 15+ years and is the combatives instructor for the sheriffs academy. There is Thomas Philcher who teaches Muay Thai and his technique is spot on. Come and actully watch all of the classes and then decide. Do not judge the school by a couple videos on you tube showing basic moves to begginers.

Is this place serious?

Go watch the videos of Lead Instructor Jonathan Clay Hall on Youtube and decide for yourself. Anyone with any background in any martial arts can recognize right away that this guy is a fraud and is clearly not a black belt in anything. Please be careful when choosing a school to train at as there are clearly more McDojo's like Lionheart than there are legitimate schools. Lionheart is going to get someone killed by teaching this crap. Unless I am mistaken and Lionheart Martial Arts really is a joke and is meant for online entertainment. In that case please put a disclosure on future videos warning others that what you are doing is not really applicable to any type of real life situation. Otherwise you should be embarrassed and ashamed of yourselves Lionheart Martial Arts.
