Grandmaster Lily Lau is the oldest daughter of the late Great Grandmaster Lau Fat Mang. Grandmaster Lau Fat Mang was the 7th Generation Grandmaster of the Northern Shaolin Eagle Claw Kung Fu system. On March 17,1964, at the age of 62 Great-Grandmaster passed.
At the age 19, Lily Lau ascended to her father's position becoming the 8th Generation Grandmaster of the Northern Shaolin Eagle Claw Kung Fu system. Grandmaster Lau is the first and only women to take over a kung fu system and to teach openly.
