I have been training there for almost 7 years. I am a 47 year old female and earned my Black Belt 3 months ago. The instructors are phenomenal. It is very family oriented. I will sign my grand son up soon too. If you want to attend a dojo that is serious about helping you reach your highest potential then this is the place to be. I never thought I could reach Black Belt but Master Chance Burleson proved me wrong! LOL. Get to this dojo as quick as you can. You won't be sorry!

This is a great Dojo. Lots of fun, discipline, and respect for the children. Its a very friendly, family environment. We have been to other Dojo's and Legends is far above the rest. The structure of the classes and the instruction is fabulous. I wouldn't go any where else.

I have taken both my children to Legends for almost 5 years now. They started at the age of 4, and have thrived both in the dojo and out. We have introduced many of our friends to Legends and they have all enjoyed their two weeks free so much, they signed up too. Legends cares about more than just the technical requirements of Martial Arts, they care about developing a well rounded person. My kids have to take forms to their school for their teachers to fill out to ensure their behavior is acceptable both in and out of the dojo. Personal characters or patience, understanding, honesty and trust worthlyness are practiced as well. I will continue to take my kids to Legends for many more years.

All 3 of my kids have been taking classes for the past 9 years. I cannot imagine this level of instruction combined with respect, discipline, and fun at any other dojo. The instructors of this dojo know how to build the self esteem in each child and adult in a safe and constructive environment.

I highly recommend Legends Martial Arts. Before my family discovered this school, the only thing that interested our son was video games. Now, he can't wait to go to class. The teachers are great with the students and greet everyone by name. The curriculum has taught our son discipline and self-confidence, while providing my wife and I with supplemental tools to help with parenting.

Our son started this year in the Elite program at 10 yrs. old. We absolutely love the knockout workout at the end of their lessons (gets him ready for sleepytime)!! Our first month is free, which is a great idea, to see if your child wants to continue, how genius and giving!! Their life skill lessons are a tremendous reinforcement to our son. We have finally gained some leverage, it's the only discipline tool, that works, if we take a Karate night away, WOW, what results. He is very dedicated, proud and discipline. All the children leave with a sense of accomplishment at the end of their session. Thank you to all Instructors, it takes wonderful people like you in making a difference in our children's future.

My son has been going here since Sept 2014, he was three when he started and is four now. We couldn't be happier with the results we are seeing! Not only is he learning the useful and beautiful skill of karate, he has become a much better listener in general. We see a huge improvement in how well he focuses on a task! He says yes ma'am and yes sir automatically now (most of the time, lol), and he is developing a healthy drive to compete and succeed. Maybe most importantly, he has learned how to fail with grace, and to always keep trying and working towards his goals.

The youth instructors are excellent, they have an amazing amount of patience and skill with the kids. Master Burleson is always circulating, greeting families and students. ..when he's not teaching class, that is. This is a family dojo, with lots of extra-curricular activities such as the Bully-Proof Seminar, Buddy Week, exhibition events, etc. Master Burleson is highly involved in our community, as well.

The adult classes look challenging and structured. I am seriously considering signing up myself! We highly recommend this dojo, it is a prime example of a small business that benefits the entire community.

The instructors are wonderful! They really connect with the children! They are very helpful with teaching children discipline and respect in a fun way. My son loves his lessons! He works hard, not only at the Dojo, but also at home and at school to earn his next belt; so when he does earn it, it is something he can really be proud of! I would recommend this Dojo and its instructors to anyone!

Legends Martial Arts delivers the authentic essence spirit of Martial Arts, and is a refuge this day when our kids are constantly barraged by the all-pervasive 'noise' of materialism, countless mental pollutants and 'mixed signals. ' Virtue reigns supreme and is given the primary seat it deserves. The whole environment teems with positive vibes and Master Burleson radiates an amazing energy and charisma. The effect is students learn in a very fun, unique and inspiring way. All of the instructors are extremely skilled and patient, they are amazing really. My child is developing a plethora of invaluable life skills— how to work with the body and its energies, self-confidence, public speaking— so many benefits too many to name. I truly believe it will bear fruit for my child's future happiness and for this I thank all the instructors from the bottom of my heart! Legends embodies the purity and wisdom of these ancient and profound practices and anyone can benefit from this — you should visit this school, only good will come out of it.

This place has definitely exceeded our expectations! First of all, the owner, Master Chance Burleson, has been very accommodating, very nice and funny. Secondly, all the instructors are so good at what they do. They incorporate mini obstacle games ( for the 3 to 5 yr. old students ) into their karate lessons, so they are learning while having fun! Lastly, the place is clean and organized.

Come and join us!

My four year old has been a member for almost a month and were both in love with the training and the results I have seen from him. All of the staff if incredibly friendly and always a pleasure to interact with. When my son walks in the owner, Chance Burleson, has stopped his adult class twice and had about 20 people yell hello to him. That absolutely made a four year old's day.

Bottom line is good staff, clean facility, great instruction and an overall fantastic experience.

My son has been going to the Grapevine satellite location for 4 1/2 years and loves it! Mr Goodson is by far one if the best instructors around. We also go the main Dojo in Hurst for other training like Kali for Kids that he teaches that is excellent as well. Master Burlrson and the whole staff at Legends are top notch and make it fun and worthwhile for everyone.

The Highlight of my week is working as an Assistant Instructor in our Little Warriors Karate program (3, 4 & 5 yr. olds) at Legends Martial Arts. I myself am a 2nd Degree Black Belt, which I earned through Legends Martial Arts. I am also a certified Assistant Instructor in the National Black Belt Association, with the classification of Blue Collar Assistant (200+ hours of teaching).

The head instructors at Legends Martial Arts have the designation of Black Collar through the same Association, each having logged 400+ hours of teaching to receive this certification.

Master Chance Burleson requires this certification of his instructors to ensure that his students receive not only top quality, but consistent, instruction across the board.

So why would a second degree black belt look forward each week to working with 3, 4 and 5 -year-olds, you ask? Is because I have seen firsthand the benefit of quality instruction through this fine organization. I would heartily recommend Legends Martial Arts to anyone seeking quality martial arts instruction.

My son and I attend Legends Martial Arts in one of their sattelite schools. I really am a big fan of the whole program. The instructors really do a good job teaching the fundamentals by breaking everything down. They focus on 4 different aspects in the program: basics (kicks and punches/techniques), self-defense, kata, and sparring. I am in my mid-40s and can say it is not any easy program, but it is worthwhile. I had always wanted to do martial arts when I was younger, but never did. I am glad I have to oportunity to finally do this with my son.

My 6 year old starting taking classes in Grapevine when he was 4. The instructors are great with the kids. They teach them discipline, respect and skills, all while having fun. I've seen such a big difference in my son's attitude and behavior since we started. He had so much fun that I took a class, too! (He loves that he outranks me.) It helped me bust through the plateau I had reached in my weight loss efforts. It was tough, but I loved it.

Ive been bringing my kids to Legends Martial Arts for two years and I don't regret a minute of it. Both of my children have been recognized at thier elementary school for their abundence of respect and oustanding citizenship. All of this is due to their preticipation in karate. Legends emphasizes positive behavior outside the dojo as well as inside.

This place is perfect for our 7 year old who has been working his way through the belts for at least the last year and a half. We drive all the way from the Northeast side of Euless to come to Legends in Hurst, passing many other dojos on the way.

The instructors are kind but firm, and provide a safe and clean environment for our son to learn respect, trust, and discpline somewhere other than home. They are all very good with children, showing by example how to be an upstanding citizen, friend, community helper.

He's learning valuable lessons for his own physical and emotional growth, and we would never dream of taking him anywhere but here all the way through to his black belt.

My wife, both our daughters and I all benefitted from Legends amazing program. It helped to build a nice blend of confidence and respect for others that has strengthened all parts of our lives. The physical training has had benefits beyond expectations. I began the program at age 47 and as I gained strength, balance and flexibility was delighted to find many of the middle age aches and pains went away as my conditioning progressed.

The actual martial arts training is of special value to me. I began the program as part of my response to the Sept. 11th attacks. They hit very close to home since I am a professional airline pilot. The motto now embroidered on my belt is “Not On My Airplane!”

I felt very privileged to have taken my 1st Degree Black Belt before an incredibly distinguished testing Board at the age of 51. Now as a 2nd degree Black Belt I continue to be amazed at Master Burleson’s ability to always know how to reach, challenge and improve his students at all levels. Although my wife and daughters (two Brown Belts and a Green) have moved on to other things (such as college) the character skills developed at Legends Martial Arts continue to be an important part of their makeup to this day.

Best place in the Mid-Cities for kids interested at looking into karate. Son was hooked from the first class he tried. Not only is it fun and provides a goal to progress to next level, it teaches life skills such as discipline, honesty, patience, respect, etc. Master Burleson is amazing with these kids. I ve never seen ages 3 to 15 snap to attention when he enters the room, yet he can have them rolling with laughter the next minute. You just need to try a free class to see...

I highly recommend Legends - my daughter was excited EVERY week to get to go - not one complaint (and for 18+ months of attendance, that's awesome for a 4-6 year old!)

All of the instructors are examples of the courtesy, respect and hard work they teach/expect. Firm but motivating, their positive demeanor helped my daughter excel and improve her confidence and self esteem through honest work. As a parent, I especially appreciated the character building aspect of their training.

Great dojo to get started in or enhance your skills!!
