The negative reviews below appear to have been posted by one of our competitors. Neither of the negative reviewers show up in our database as either a parent or student, and if you look at them they have minimal or no other reviews elsewhere. Someone made up an account in order to post them. Their claims to our pricing is exaggerated. We will be glad to discuss our pricing with anyone who is interested in our programs and will be happy to answer any questions about our programs, pricing, contract details, etc. up front. We have been in Kyle for over 12 years and would not have a thriving school without treating people fairly or having a great program and great instructors on our staff. These negative postings seem to be one of our competitor's best way to compete, by attacking our staff, our style of martial arts, and making many other unfair and/or untrue claims. I would appreciate that you consider that the web is often abused by people who hide behind anonymity and that these claims in these reviews are not accurate. Please feel free to contact us to discuss our programs, pricing, etc., or come by to watch our classes for your self and ask questions. You are welcome to visit and decide for yourself. Thanks for your consideration, Scott Larsen - owner

Scott Larsen ata kyle is terrible

First off I didn't look up Larsen ATA in Kyle before going there or how Tae kwon do is the worst martial arts in the world. The huge classes with one instructor and crappy prices should be the BIG warning sign for all parents that want martial arts lessons for their kids.

They have 15 color belts. Their ranks are not recognized in Korea! So your ATA black belt is not recognized in Korea! What's that say about Scott Larsen and his over weight assistant Sean? So is your child being taught by fake black belts? In my opinion yes! Plus Sean has only been training for 6 years and is magically a 3rd degree! You would think for that rank you would have trained for 12 years not barely 6 years!

$70 for the first belt and $85 for the next two. They charge high prices for watered down martial arts. $89 to start then they push you in their leadership program $159 A MONTH!! They hand out black belts like candy $500. Anyone that is ignorant enough to sign a contract is charges for every little thing.

$150 membership fee,

$100 registration fee,

HIGH testing fee's.

A typical black belt test cost $500.

Instructors in ATA schools are pushed to advance their own rank. To do so they must also meet quotas on student promotions Their high pressure sales tactics, black belt clubs, leadership clubs, ...etc. are nothing more than ah way to extract more money from the students. Go somewhere else in Kyle for karate.

Costs a ton of money for this place. Instructors are allways hitting you up to join their masters program at $150 A MONTH!!! Belt tests are $70!! You test everymonth because the owner (Scott Larsen) who's never there needs a new ferrari. Dont sign up here they will hit you up every week for money!

If you have $150 a month to throw away on karate lessons a month this place is for you.ATA Larsens started at $89 a month but then Larsen wanted my son to join their ata leadership program at $159 a month! We didn't want to do the 2 year contract and my son was bored with the classes. We quit after our 6 month was up. Don't go to Larsens ATA!
