Lahaina Ki Aikido
Lahaina Ki Aikido (officially known as the Lahaina Hongwanji Aikido Club) is an Aikido dojo of the Honolulu Ki Society in partnership with the Lahaina Hongwanji Mission. It is led by Ed Johnson Sensei, Shodan of the Northwest Ki Federation.
Lahaina Ki Aikido's goal is to bring the martial art of Ki-Aikido and Ki Principles to the community of Lahaina, Hawaii. Students will learn: calmness & confidence; to be relaxed yet strong; meditation & breathing; discipline & tradition; martial arts & self defense; mind & body coordination.
In addition to teaching Aikido, Lahaina Ki Aikido offers students the chance to study other forms of training such as Ki Health Exercises, Ki Meditation, Ki Breathing, Kiatsu and Misogi. This comprehensive training provides students with a holistic approach to life that extends beyond the self defense techniques taught in the martial art of Aikido. It expands the training into something which can be incorporated into our daily lives for improved health and happiness.
