Kouketsu Dojo, Okinawa Gojuryu Karate-do Kenkyukai
The mission of the Kouketsu Dojo is to develop and discipline the human spirit. This discipline must be self-imposed in order for it to be meaningful; however external discipline is required in order to learn internal discipline. The method of training and practice is the same - constant repetition of both solo and partner exercises. The actual movements are secondary to the spirit or approach of the student. The Kouketsu Dojo is under the direction of Kyoshi Glenn Cunningham, 7th Dan.

Programs & Class Schedule
NYC Branch Dojo for the Okinawan Gojuryu Karate-Do Kenkyukai. Kyoshi Glenn Cunningham is a direct student of Taira Masaji Sensei.
Kyoshi Cunningham is the only Okinawan Gojuryu Teacher in the Tri-State area that concentrates on teaching adults. All other Dojos in the area depend on children to come to their dojo's to pay their rent, ending up teaching them "martial games". Many teachers & students of other Dojo's come to the Kouketsu Dojo for a visit and end up leaving very upset, realizing that they have been wasting their time being scammed by an out of shape money hungry martial arts teacher.
