Koryo Do School of Tae Kwon Do

Martial Arts school taught by Hall of Fame Instructors and Tae Kwon Do Masters. Koryo Do school of Tae Kwon Do teaches a blend of martial arts selected by Master Jose Delgado. The basic curriculum is based on taekwondo with components from Kung Fu, Aikido, Boxing, Sambo, , Kali, Krav Maga, Muay Thai, Tang Soo Do, Judo and many others. The emphasis of the school is the application of these techniques and philosophy in our daily lives.

We are located in Saint Augustine, Florida and we welcome new students as well as Martial Artists from all styles. As a norm we use Taekwondo for conditioning and techniques from Kung Fu, Krav Maga, and aikido for self-defense. The curriculum also includes weapons defense, bully prevention, behavior modification, resource utilization and performance improvement.

We also offer a traditional Karate track for those interested in classical teaching. Our primary goal and philosophy is based on our student body development, physical and mental.

Martial Art Styles

The following Martial Arts Styles are offered at Koryo Do School of Tae Kwon Do:

  • Karate
  • Tae Kwon Do

Programs & Class Schedule

Beginners: Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. Minimum age to join this class is 5 years old. Candidates 4 year old may be allowed a limited try out where an instructor will evaluate them for acceptance. Beginners class is designed for kids but allows adults as part of a family group.
Yellow Belts: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. Ideal students are 5 to 15 years old. Normally students that graduate from the beginners class are moved into this class once they learn some basic skills. New students may be allowed is there is a schedule conflict and the instructors approved.
Adults: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. Class is designed for adults with emphasis on women's self-defense. Occasionally class uses Latin music and dance techniques to simplify assimilation of techniques.
Advance: Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. This class is based on skill level rather than age. Students must be evaluated by the instructor and show a minimum skill level before they are allowed to register for this class.
Weapons: Wednesdays 7:00 to 8:00 PM. The class covers basic martial arts weapons such as the Bo, Kali sticks, Tonfas. Students that complete the basic curriculum may also be taught knife and nunchakus. Potential students must be evaluated by the class instructor before they are allowed to participate.
