We are a Traditional Japanese Aiki-Jujitsu Martial Art. Our style, KoKoDo JuJutsu specializes joint locks, throws, takedowns, holds and pins. Our techniques utilize bone structure, natural movement and pain compliance to subdue an attacker. Our central philosophy is humane self-protection. This works on the principle that one does not have to rely upon sheer strength, size or brute force in order to defeat an opponent. Instead, KoKoDo teaches that with relaxation, focus, efficient technique and proper use of Ki, one can swiftly and effectively neutralize an opponent and shatter their will to do harm without causing serious permanent injury to the attacker. The KoKoDo JuJutsu curriculum includes a series of basic techniques (waza), similar those found in Daito Ryu Aiki JuJutsu.
We are located in Downtown Monrovia, about 20 minutes outside of Los Angeles.
We are not in the business of making black belts, we are in the business of making great Jujutsuka.
