Your martial arts journey will start and end here. I used to do Karate for over 10 years until I found this place. All the while I was fearing for my life when at bars or clubs. I resorted to watching Youtube videos to learn real life self defense on my own. Then one day, I was fortunate enough to be invited here by the head instructor as he wanted to expand his old school back shed dojo. I was floored by the finality of the moves they did, hard and painful against each other like I walked onto a the set of a badass martial arts movie. The style and system they teach here is a modern combat martial art that marries the ancient traditions of feudal Japanese Samurai to the techniques of the United States Military and Personal Protection. There are ex-Military here, instructors as well as students. I was a bit intimidated by all that at first since I'm a wealking and played no sports in school. But boy, I tell you, I can run with the big boys now! I just love the respect and tough love attitude everyone shows around here. But you gotta be willing to put in the time and effort if you want others' attention. Don't think cuz you paid your dues that you'll automatically be guaranteed a black belt one day. This ain't fast food or retail. Nah, brother, ya gotta earn it. And they don't come easy. Everyone's willing to help if you ask for it, and show that you want it, real bad. Otherwise you'll be like the hundreds or thousands of others that came and went and couldn't cut it.
