Kobudo Club
U.S. Kobudo Club is a semi-private club providing convenient and affordable access to the traditional martial arts of Japan, or "ko-budo." We believe seriously, old-style martial arts training produces not only practical self-defense skills, but mental and spiritual benefits as well. During training, we emphasize safety, respect, and patience.
Members participate (1-2 classes/week) in an apprenticeship-style learning process, which involves two-person kata training under the guidance of a certified Genbukan-KJJR instructor. Non-members are invited to attend personal defense classes held the first Tuesday of every month at the Marple Newtown Community Center (19073). High school-age youth and adults of all ages and physical abilities are welcome to attend.
