Reviews of Khalid's Martial Arts Academy

Great school to train at.

I am a fellow martial arts instructor in the valley and have trained at Khalid's on more than one occasion. I love visiting small Dojos to veiw their positive impact on the community and possibly pick up a few ideas of my own. But after visiting Khalid's and training with the instructors there my eyes have been opened to the true dangers this school is inflicting on it's surrounding community.

Already having the misfortune of being located in a bad part of town one would think a martial arts school would have no where to go but up. This is not the case here, It is horrifyingly apparent that their presence as done little to change the atmosphere of the community, if anything they have promoted it. Every student and instructor there seems to think violence is the key to solving any problem, and have even gone as far as chasing local citizens around with escrima sticks because they where loitering outside their establishment. I have also had the pleasure of being called names and cursed at by so called "instructors" in front of their students. I was the one who had to be mature and remind him that he was suppose to be setting an example to which he cursed more and threatened to assault me.

Bottom line I didn't even feel safe there, no way I would bring a child into that atmosphere. So if you decide to drive by and take a look make sure to lock your doors.
