Kentucky Grapplers is a martial arts school in Bowling Green, KY dedicated to providing high quality, effective self-defense instruction and training to adults. We are located at 519 East Second Ave. in Bowling Green KY, near Graves Gilbert and the Medical Center. We offer group classes geared toward adults who want a good workout while building a practical skill. We also offer private lessons, workshops, and seminars. The school has separate spaces for classes and equipment training. Members are able to train on their own before or after, or instead of class, while classes are going on.
Kevin Taylor has been studying and teaching martial arts for over thirty years. He began his training in Goju Shorei Karate, in which he holds a fifth degree black belt. He traveled all over the country competing in national and regional tournaments. Kevin was nationally and regionally rated in weapons, forms, and fighting divisions from the age of thirteen through his early twenties. Kevin studied Wing Chun and Kali under Nino Bernardo ,while living in England, and became an instructor. Kevin also studied Pentjak Silat under Guro Jak Othman at this time.
Near the end of Kevin's stay in England, he met and trained with Sifu Larry Hartsell, Bruce Lee's premier fighter. After returning to the States, Kevin continued training with Sifu Larry. Eventually, Kevin became his assistant traveling all over the United States, Canada, England, Scotland, Germany, Finland, Australia, and New Zealand. Kevin assisted Sifu Larry on many seminars for Law Enforcement and Military including SEAL teams between Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Kevin is a Senior Full Instructor in Sifu Larry Hartsell's Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do Grappling Association.
