Reviews of Ken's Kung Fu San Soo

Sifu Ken is excellent at conveying concepts clearly. If you want to know more than "what" to do, but also "how" & "why," then this school is for you.

Sifu has great patience in teaching his art and is sure to see I leave every lesson full of knowledge I can use in any situation in life, not just in a fight. After my 1st three lessons I learned that Kung Fu can be applied in everything due to the amazing exercises that teach you how to stand firm, use and develop leg strength and stability, and the combat lessons are taught in a thorough way until Sifu is confident in your grasp of the moves. I attend every class with an empty cup to only be filled with awesome new exercises and moves to add to what Sifu has taught in previous lessons. I'm more than satisfied with this style of Kung Fu art and it's instructor. If you're looking for someone with great power and knowledge in martial arts and has a greater strength of humility while teaching it, than this is the school for you.

First of all, I am very glad that I found San Soo in my search for a type of martial arts to train in. I was looking for something strictly for self defense purposes with no intention of competing in tournaments, etc. After Ken explained the art of San Soo to me, I knew it was what I was looking for. After one class I could tell that Ken had a very in depth knowledge of the art, as he studied and earned his black belt from a first generation master. Ken has first hand experience with how this ancient art was brought to America and he is committed to preserving the art in it's original form. This is the most effective fighting art you will find, and Ken's Kung Fu is the place to learn.

I learned more in one class about what to do in a real fight than I did in 3 years at another school. He knows his stuff! I'd recommend this to anyone that wants to learn self defense.
