We were looking to start our son in an extra curricular program this year. He's not into sports so we settled upon martial arts. We've seen some places where there was no structure or discipline and knew what to avoid. We knew we did not want plain karate because we do not see it as a practical skill or something that can get you out of trouble. We decided on krav maga and found a place nearby. All 0.9 miles nearby. I was sent to scope out the place for my son and possibly my husband as well. After about 5 minutes we were sold and even I got excited about it. Michelle greeted us warmly and gave us the grand tour and told us all about the various programs available. You could easily see she had a genuine interest in the students and was passionate about what they did. We signed up the next day for a full family package. We were all going! One thought my family had about the people and place was - family. Not only was it a family run business but you felt comfortable with everyone there. You felt like you were working out with your family. Everyone from the wee kids to adults. Fun, energizing, motivating, engaging - these describe any class. Each class has everyone doing the same workout but tailored to their experience level. You don't play with chopsticks for 5 years before you can kick a bag. We are all in it together, right from the start. I found the perfect place. My family thinks so, too.
