Nick Braaksma started training kids from ages 4 and up to teens, men and women. In 1984 he earned his Black Belt and Teaching Certificate at Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, NC with Grand Master Jhoon Rhee.
Nick's experience in Jujitsu, Judo, Karate, Dutch Muay Thai Kickboxing and Sombo Wrestling brings a serious and complete skill set for his Students to learn; realistic Fighting and Self-Defense training from standing to clinching to takedowns and the ground game can be expected in his classes.
Meanwhile, keeping it fun and safe for the beginners as well as for the advanced practitioner is why people love his classes.
The curriculum is easy to learn and safe for children and beginners. Anyone who becomes a Black Belt at Nick Braaksma's Dojo will have a strong and effective skill set for Competition as well as for Self-Defense and Tactical purposes.

Kids train weekdays at 5:30pm and Adults at 6:30pm.
Also on Saturdays at 10am and 11am respectively.
