Three of my children have been through KSA over several years. Grand Master Ron Jenkins has a great raport with the kids- even the child with emotional and behavior issues. When any concerns are reported, he quickly addresses them. He expresses interest in school work and other activities that the kids are involved in. TKD-TSD has been very beneficial to all my kids, allowing them to find confidence in their abilities, gaining control of their emotions and bodies, and forming respectful multigenerational friendships with other students and staff outside of the neighborhood and their schools.

KSA's staff are inconsistent with their own training and ability to work with different abilities within the current class structure. Although this school has become more $$ oriented, the lead instructors seem more interested in the student learning correct form than some of the other local offerings. The owner and more mature instructors are cognizant of safety issues, but most of the younger instructors do not seem capable of keeping control of the sometimes extraordinarily large classes and lack direct supervision. As you can show up for whatever class you want within your rank, class size is inconsistent. Stay with your student and monitor for yourself!
We have checked out other schools in the area and this one seems the best over all for quality equipment, cleanliness, and outgoing students and staff. Information about up coming events is not always readily available, but if you ask if anything is coming up, the instructors are usually able to give you the information.

World Class Instruction for anyone who wants to learn TKD and not just earn a belt.

I started martial arts at age 6 with another school. After getting my black belt I felt something was missing. In my old school we rarely sparred so I didn't know if I could really defend myself. So I enrolled with Master Jenkins and he changed my life. Now my son attends classes at KSA and he just got his black belt. Ron Jenkins is like a 2nd father to us and me (so I guess that makes him a 2nd Grand Father too.)
You must check out KSA before choosing a school.

We have been attending KSA for 5 years. Grandmaster Jenkins and his instructors are committed to quality education, discipline, fun!, sense of community and family involvement. We have three children enrolled with the oldest working towards his black belt this summer. He had a bullying incident at the beginning of the school year (first year of middle school) with the bully actually putting his hands on my child. I truly believe if KSA had not taught my son all of the skills to handle the situation, I think his school year would be very different right now. The bully is now one of his best friends. The confidence our children have now is priceless. Our middle child has anxiety and aspergers and Grandmaster Jenkins and his instructors work within his needs. As early as a month after starting he was doing activities he never had the confidence to do before. Highly recommend!!

I currently have three children at KSA. They are growing, progressing, and enjoying classes. The instructors are wonderful with the kids and extremely skilled. Grand Master Jenkins is very present and also holds a great rapport with the students. We are very please and plan continue through our black belts!
Karate Sports Academy is a great place to learn not just karate but also discipline, how to handle yourself in different situations, and how great accomplishment can feel. The instructors there really care about the students, often asking about school and social lives. There is ample opportunity for all ages and skill levels. This is a studio where you really earn each belt. It is not just given to you. The instructors make it fun to work hard and learn. As a former student turned instructor, I recommend Karate Sports Academy to any and all who want to really learn.
