The Reid and Lail karate school of Oyama was established by Coy Reid and Dale Lail in 1972. The style of karate taught at the dojo is Kyokushin. Reid and Lail was instructed by grandmaster Darrel Wilson who trained extensively under the kyokushin founder Grandmaster Mas Oyama in Japan. Master Michael Speagle is the current head instructor of the dojo under Master Dale Lail. Self-defense, point sparring, breaking and knockdown competition sparring are just a few events taught at the dojo. Masters Reid, Lail and Speagle all have competed in multiple point sparring tournaments, breaking competitions and full contact knockout competitions. All ages male and female are instructed starting at five years old. Prices range from $45 per month per student and family discounts are available.
