Reviews of Karate America

Instructors are not focused on teaching the art. My daughter has been going for 5 months and its the same routine. we are required to buy weapons for instruction (bought two) and they only receive 5 mins of instruction. I guess they are focused on the jumping jacks, push ups etc. i sat in class the other day and my (7y/o)daughter did 120 jumping jacks in a 45min lesson. Are you kidding me? Teach the art, you can do 15mins of warm ups at the beginning of the class, but focus on teaching the skills.

I saw another class a few months ago when an instructor coerced a teenage student to run through a gauntlet (12 times) of students whipping him with their belts because it was his birthday. Can you say Hazing and Felony? IMO, that instructor should have her belt stripped and lose her ability to ever teach a class.

my recommendation stay away from Karate America. It's not karate its taekwondo, ie Korean boxing. Karate is from Japan

My 7 year old son has only been going to karate america for only 6 months but I have seen a lot of improvement at home and school. The instructors there like to have fun but at the same like to keep things straight. They are always concern about the kids in how are they doing at home and school. Making sure the show respect to everyone and that karate is only use to defend themself when necessary. They accept anyone who want to do it. My other two year old son sees his older brother doing it and already knows how to do a few things like doing the strattle, going down on one knee, punching and kicking the targets, and bowing saying ATA!. Next year when he is three, we are planning on enrolling him, as myself and my wife.

Karate America is an awesome school! My son has been going for a few months and has been doing extremely well! His behavior at home and school has greatly improved. He looks forward to class everyday! Karate America is the way to go!

I first enrolled my son in karate back in March. In April, myself, my daughter and my husband enrolled. It has helped immensely with my sons confidence level, my daughters discipline, and for my husband and I to lose weight. The class times work well with our schedules, the instructors and staff are wonderful. I highly recommend the Blanding and Wells location to anyone.

Karate America on Wells Rd and Blanding are very good Karate schools. My kids have learned so much at the school. I would recommend these schools to everyone.
