KaishinKai Evergreen is an extension of KaishinKai Dojo with classes at the Evergreen State College Olympia, WA.
The curriculum is Kodenkan DanzanRyu 'traditional' Jujitsu as developed by H.S. Okazaki of Hawaii in the 1920's. This is a martial art that can be learned by all ages and by people with limited mobility issues.
Areas of study include: Anatomy; Physiology; Massage; Rolling and Falling; Escapes and Holding Techniques; Throwing/Tripping; Grappling; Counters and Reversals; Martial Arts(Danzan) History and Philosophy; Self Defense and more.
Classes are taught in a safe environment with emphasis on safety.
Contesting and competition are not the focus of these classes.
Classes are Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6:30 - 8:30 pm.
This is an Adult program for ages 12-90.
Outside reading and maintaining a student notebook is required.
Fees are $100 per term (approximately 2 months. Classes are offered at other sites during Evergreen College term breaks.
