Everyone is together like one big family and that is one of the great reasons why I love this school.

A Large Network of Support:

In this system you can go to any other Jeff Speakman school and they will be practicing the exact same techniques, forms, methods, principals, etc. as I learn in Santa Rosa! And, all of the sister schools LOVE visitors! I can plan a get-away along the coast in Eureka or head down to Disneyland with the family and still do Kenpo in Pasadena or Eureka!

Applicable Methods / Strong Foundation:

Did I mention that every movement has a reason? We couldn't find this anywhere else! They don't throw a movement into a form because it "looks pretty. " If I am in a bad situation, I'm not going to care if my form looks "pretty!" Easy as that! Our system is one of perpetual change. It is constantly evolving to be better and better. We have the luxury of our instructors and instructors of other JSK schools working directly with Mr. Speakman, which is how the maintain continuity and steadiness in the system.

Instructors Who Love What They Do:

If an instructor is there simply for the reason of making money, their intentions and passion for the art can be jaded. Our instructors simply love sharing this amazing system and creating little martial artists!

Family Environment:

You are NEVER judged, scolded, or laughed at regardless of your natural or physical ability. We all feel secure to give it our all. Mainly, we wanted to "play" with friends once again! Wow did we hit the jackpot!!!

Not a Money Factory:

Many martial art schools aren't in business for the true love of the art; they are there to make money. Sad fact! Sure, all styles are great exercise, but our family wanted more than that. We wanted to be in a system where we (and the system) were truly evolving, improving, enlightening, and cultivating. A system that we could be proud of ourselves for what we were doing.
