Tremendous school with excellent instruction. As with most martial arts schools these days I approached it with a certain degree of skepticism. This was quickly erased upon meeting Sifu Torres and the rest of the instructors at the school. Sifu Torres has a direct, traceable lineage to Ted Wong; who was Bruce Lee's training partner and friend. This was a comforting factor knowing that what I would be taught would be legitimate and not fabricated. As my time in the school continues to elapse I am forever grateful for having come across this school. It has positively contributed to my life as both a martial artist and as a person. All the instructors and students are genuinely there for each others progression and well being. Everyone wants to see the next person succeed. I have recently reached my 5 year anniversary of being a student at this school and I've learned so much about JKD and the martial arts life style. Sifu Richard Torres is an excellent teacher and is very knowledgable of real Jeet Kune Do. He gives good insight on what makes JKD different than other arts. He is very passionate about the school and loves to see dedication within his students. The school attracts a friendly part of the community and has created a home away from home for me. I started Jeet Kune do 6 years ago because I was always a fan of martial arts and Bruce lee himself. I have come to enjoy the not only the art but the for the school, the students ( which have become family) and the knowledge that Sifu has due to the teachings of Ted Wong. I will continue my learning for many more years to come. This school is amazing and would recommend it to anyone looking for a martial arts school. There are no others like it.

I have been attending this school for 15 years. As of this writing, the Jeet Kune Do School has been opened for 20 years and is the oldest martial arts school in Fishkill, New York and perhaps the Hudson Valley. They are the only authorized school to teach Jeet Kune Do, the martial art system founded by Bruce Lee. The Instructor is a 2nd Generation student of Bruce Lee, which makes us students, 3rd Generation from Bruce Lee. Everything taught in this school is for realistic self defense. I travel 1 1/2 hours just to train in this special school.

I use to study jkd here but had to stop due to moving. If you are close enough, don't bother looking for another art or school to join, this is IT!!
