Hello! And welcome to the Japan Karate Institute of King. Here we practice Wado-Ryu karate in a traditional format. Wado-Ryu is a classical style of karate blending traditional karate techniqes with traditional Japanese Jiu-Jitsu principles.
Sensei Ben Dorr will guide students through a classical training regimen focusing on Kihon (basics) and Kata (forms). Kumite (free form sparring) and Kobudo (weapons) are introduced once students demonstrate the appropriate levels of maturity and control.
The following Martial Arts Styles are offered at Japan Karate Institute of King:
Classes are held at 6:00 to 6:25 pm for children 6-11 and 6:30 to 7:30 pm for adults (12 and up). Weekly schedule format is Tuesday and Friday of Week A and Wednesday and Thursday of Week B.
Occasional special class or seminar times will be posted on the dojo calendar. Please refer to our website at www.jki-k.com for additional information.
