I thank God that I was blessed enough to have the opportunity to train under Ortega Sensei. I Grew up outside of Chicago, and I trained under Sensei for eight years. I joined the military and served years. I relocated to Florida and have been searching for a dojo ever since. I have a had a "7th Dan", LOL, say that they feared me and a "5th Dan" tell me he would be scared to run into me in a dark alley. Enzo is the best there is. If you can't get with some one as good as him, learn how to shoot or take tap dancing. I would bet a pay check that there is no one in the UFC/MMA that could handle this man. Thank you Sensei for all you have taught me.

Enzo Ortega is rare...he is a gifted Sensi who can bring the best out of any student..he demands proper form in every basic technique

you do in his class...he has the ability to see and correct where a student

is developing bad technique and corrects it. Best way to describe Enzo is he is the real deal Sensi..who has trained under the very best in the world and provides the best possible teaching opportunity to anyone

who wants to make Karate part of their life...I would recommend his dojo to any parent who wants to provide their child with skills and

confidence that will help them their whole life...I only wish I did not

live 600 miles away from Sensi Ortega for I would be training in his Dojo....in summary, People in the Chicago area that are interested in training in Karate..have no idea what they are missing with Enzo Ortega right in their back yard.

Sensei Enzo Ortega runs the Japan Karate Association's Western Springs branch. He is a third generation 9th dan in Karate Do, having trained under Nishiyama-Sensi who is known as recieving the only 10th Dan from the Emperror of Japan. You will not get more authentic Karate training than you will here. You will not be awarded a new rank unless you have sincerely earned it.
