I have been learning kung fu at the Jade Forest for over a year now, and I find the school, the sifu, and the style of teaching splendidly challenging, motivating, and fun. The classes are small enough for sifu John Loupos to give individual attention to each student, so that each of us can learn at our own speed and feel challenged. The praying mantis style of kung fu is very fluid and provides a great balance between upper body (punches, blocks), lower body (kicks, jumps, stances), and weapons training. The Jade Forest school has a fun atmosphere that reflects respect, but no overbearing rank structure or obedience. It's a great place to learn martial arts for kids and adults!
