After trying several Martial Arts schools for my children, I found a home at JK Lee. It is the only school in the area certified to teach verbal self defense, a child version of a program designed to teach law enforcement how to descalate situations before they get out of control. This is taught from an anti-bullying approach. Aside from self defense, the children gain self confidence and self esteem. My seven year old is assisting in instructing other children and developing the leadership skills needed to succeed later in life. Having to learn home rules and tenenants adds to the stuctured expectations for home and school and my children's teachers have commented on how they can see the benefits.
