All complaints focused on being asked to pay?

This is one of the best and most knowledgeable Senseis in the Valley. My children have been there for years and love the classes and sensei. All of the negative comments are by people who are asked to pay their bills are they kidding? Also, the parent who complained about an older student teaching instead of sensei must go to some other dojo cause my children have never been taught by anyone but sensei.

Unprofessional and negative person

My children were at the dojo for sometime. Over that time they enjoyed themselves with the other children, the kids are great but time after time that they were not being taught by the instructor but by an older student who is there. Also realize that when a new white belt (First belt) would enroll the whole dojo of all ranks would have to use up a class to show the white belt the basics which is fine because they can use the refresher BUT then next class that new student will be told to do the same as the children that have been there for month/years. Now this is not fair to expect these new children to know what a child knows that has been there for months/years. When they didn't they were given negative comments rather than shown what to do correctly. Children who leave or do not do well are referred to as losers. Now these kids of course do not know this but in my case I found out before they did leave from other parents. Of course this behavior is denied but it is disgusting for a "MENTOR" and self proclaimed educator to treat children this way and to negatively try to tear them down.

When it comes to the money, I have always paid way before it was due. When due to personal reasons I decided to not continue services I was told that I was going to be taken to court, my parenting was questions and being told I was raising a quitter. WHO DOES THIS!

Now don't get me wrong there was positive aspects like the children being busy, the children making friends and learning how to defend themselves. But when it comes to the instructor involvement with the children or with parents I feel that he needs a lot of growing to do. Definitely should not with that attitude and negative behavior should have the ability to help in the raising of the future generations and our children.

Does not know how to run a business

Very poor professionalism at this "business". I wanted to give my 5 year old a chance to try something new and fun to let his energy out. I was appalled at the way I was treated when a financial situation arose and I was unable to pay on time. There is a $15. 00 late fee, which is outrageous when you think about late charges on rent being only $5 - $10. He threatened me through text message, claiming he was taking me to court for breach of contract. Says he has "NEVER lost a case". He says he doesn't run a "charity". Also degraded myself and my parenting. If this is the way he is treating someone who missed payment by 1 day, (it was due Nov 1 and it is now Nov 2) I do not want any of that energy or qualities rubbing off on my son. Stay away and spend your money elsewhere. I will not be taking my son back and will surely let everyone know if he in fact takes me to court.

This is a great Sensei and a great dojo. ..imagine calling a school bad because they ask you to pay? Being a bum is no reason to downgrade a school!

Not professional at all. He harassed me using text messages when I failed to pay on time. When payment is not given he threatens family to take them to court for breach of contract. Not understanding and humiliated me and accused me of not really caring for my child, because i could not make the payments. He forced me to stay by threatening me he will take me to court if I didnt stay. I will not recommend this place at all.
