Programs & Class Schedule

Thundering Aikido in Steamboat Springs. Inazuma Aikido is focused on teaching practical, effective Aikido in a safe and friendly atmosphere. We are located at the Colorado Mountain College in the Bristol Hall gymnasium. We've been running since the Fall of 2002 and though our Aikido has gone through many transitions since then we are still running strong and our technique is better then ever.

Classes are often small in number but never lacking in quality and the students are all dedicated to helping one another as well as constantly improving their technique and their character along the way.

Inazuma Aikido in a non-affiliated Dojo and we do not strictly adhere to any one style although our primary focus of technique is similar to the Tenshin style of Aikido taught by Steven Seagal. JD Paul Sensei is not ranked under Seagal Sensei or any of his students and claims no rank of any style of Aikido although he has trained in Aikido for well over 10 years. Inazuma Aikido does not follow any ranking structure and one should not expect any rank whatsoever in the class. Senior students are ranked the same as new students: as eternal beginners. Perfection in our technique and in our character is what we strive for, not a pretty belt around our waist.

We hope that you will find what you are seeking at Inazuma Aikido and as always, our doors are open to those with the strength and determination to walk through them.

We're at the Colorado Mountain College campus in the Bristol Hall gymnasium. Classes are currently Monday and Wednesday evenings starting at 6:30-8:30ish (we generally just go until Sensei says stop!)
