Kendo (Japanese fencing) is a martial art that promotes physical and mental conditioning as well as cross cultural understanding. Based on the ancient swordsmanship skills of the Japanese samurai, our 501(c)(3) non-profit club offers both kendo and iaido instruction to interested students ten and over.
Instruction is lead by Robert Stroud sensei, Kyoshi Kendo 7 Dan, Iaido 6 Dan, with able assistance of Ryan Atagi, Kendo 4 Dan. The club has a number of yudansha sempai (black belt senior instructors) members as well to assist in teaching.
