The form taught is Samurai. That's the focus of the class. The etiquette of regular Karate is out the window. This is Judo, Aikido, Karate, Jujutsu, Akijutsu, all in one. It provides a person a chance to realize one on one training in a small setting is amazing for technique. Its not for everyone. You will be sore but the pace is good and when you leave the Dojo, you feel you can handle yourself better.

I learned some self defense moves so I can protect myself and get away if ever in a bad situation. Sensei is very professional and disciplined and expects the same from his students.

This instructor, Sensei Adam Martin, focuses on real-world useful and practical techniques. His classes are not easy since he pushes me to my physical and mental limits, but I have always come away with a stronger sense of my ability to defend myself in an unwanted fight. I would ~not~ want to get hit by someone with these kinds of self-defense and fighting skills.

Good class hard workout.
Adam will show you all the the best techniques for real world situations. It’s one hour long classes but you learn so much from his techniques and decades of study under prominent masters Dr. Love and Mr. Tamura.
