Reviews of Hawaiian Martial Arts LLC (Kajukenbo-Lua)

Having been student of a handful of different schools I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled upon Hawaiian Martial Arts. The head instructor's experience and time not just in the Kajukenbo system but others as well (Lua, Dan Zan Ryu, various forms of Kung Fu, etc. ) is almost overwhelming. He does a great job of bringing everything he has learned through his own martial arts journey together into a comprehensive but understandable curriculum which will serve as a guide for your own journey, regardless of your experience level.

Kajukenbo is an excellent self-defense system. I've been studying under Sigung Whittle for 14 years and his lessons have carried over to all aspects of my life, not just martial arts. If you are looking to gain confidence, better health and an overall understanding of martial knowledge, then we would love to have you. Don't be fooled by the low cost of tuition. When you get to know Mr. Whittle you will realize he is not in it for the money. He genuinely loves to teach and pass on his knowledge to those who want to learn.

Great classes for kids, teens and adults.

I've studied at Hawaiian Martial Arts LLC for a little over 4 years now. It's a fantastic class, extremely realistic in its approach to martial arts, and highly self defense oriented. We're taught everything you'd possibly need to know, from your basics, like kicks, punches and blocks, to throws, chokes and locks, how to take a punch, and how to break your fall correctly. The training is tough and informative, everyone there is extremely friendly, and Sigung Whittle is a very kind and attentive teacher. This is a fantastic school, and I highly, highly recommend it.
