Welcome to Harai Dojo !! We teach Kodokan Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu both for sport and as a way in Martial Arts. Judo is translated as the "Gentle Way", where as Jiu Jitsu is translated as the "Gentle Art". We are an affiliate gym of Mestre Marcelo Alonso Brazilian Jiu Jitsu - Team Carlson Gracie.
We have Sensei Jim Harai Jr as the owner and Head Judo Instructor, Sensei Jim is a Kodokan Judo (Japan), United States Judo Federation and USA Judo 5th Degree Black Belt. Sensei Jim is also a Marcelo Alonso Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt - Team Carlson Gracie. Sensei Jim began judo since 1969 in Okinawa, Japan. Sensei Jim serves on the USJF Northwest Judo Yudanshakai on the Board of Examiners.
We have the luxury of having Professor Charlie Johnson as our Head Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Instructor. Professor Charlie is a 1 Stripe Marcelo Alonso Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt - Team Carlson Gracie. Professor Charlie is also a Harai Dojo Blue Belt (Yonkyu) under Sensei Jim Harai, a Shotokan Karate black Belt and he has trained and competed in Mixed Martial Arts.
We also have Professor Nick Laundenglos, a 3rd Degree Marcelo Alonso Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt - Team Carlson Gracie.
We have Sensei Chris Rhude, a 3rd Degree USJF Judo Black Belt and a Marcelo Alonso Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt - Team Carlson Gracie. Sensei Chris is the Assistant Head Judo Instructor.
Sensei Annette Lane is a USJF Judo 1st Degree Black Belt and a Marcelo Alonso Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Purple Belt - Team Carlson Gracie. Sensei Annette is our Ladies Only Classes Instructor.

Harai Dojo has created a unique approach to teaching and training their Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Students. They invite many local and not so local Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belts and Instructors to come teach classes to their students. Sensei Jim's vision is to expose his students to as many different styles and techniques unique to each Instructor.
