Programs & Class Schedule
Han Mi Martial Arts has four programs - Taekwondo, Hapkido, Kumdo, and Chagon Yong ("Little Dragon").
Taekwondo - Taekwondo is a Korean martial art that engages in training through forms study, kicking and punching exercises, and sparring. Taekwondo classes are 50 minutes, and divided into Children (7-12) and Adult (13+).
Hapkido - Our Hapkido program deals purely with self-defense. Study in Hapkido is rigorous. Hand strikes, kicking, throws, falling, rolling, grappling, ground fighting, and submission sparring are all part of Hapkido training. Hapkido classes are one hour.
Kumdo - Kumdo is a Korean martial art that deals purely with sword work. Closely related to Japanese Kendo, Kumdo has both forms and sparring aspects to it. Kumdo classes are one hour.
Chagon Yong - Chagon Yong is a modified version of our Taekwondo program for 3-6 year olds. While the regular Taekwondo program is taught, there are other fundamentals taught that are relevant to Hapkido or Kumdo – such as basic tumbling or strength and quickness drills taught through obstacle courses. Chagon Yong classes are 30 minutes.
