Guard Up Training

Guard Up Training is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school located in Woodstock GA. Our head instructor is BJJ Black Belt Robert Peters. Training in many different disciplines, he notably earned a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do from 2nd Degree Black Belt, Jay Elko and his Brown Belt in Gen Lee Ju-Jitsu from 3rd degree Black Belt, Rick Cabral. In 2005, Robert was introduced to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, earning his BJJ Blue Belt in 2006 from 5 Stripe Black Belt and 7 Time World Champion, Luiz Sergio "Marra" Correa.

In 2017 he was awarded his Brown Belt under Alliance Black Belts, Ian McPherson, and Jeff Cummings. Coming full circle in 2019, Robert earned his Black Belt by his first instructor, Luiz Sergio "Marra" Correa.

Owner Eddie Bowers received his Black Belt in American Karate in 2001. Eddie started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2006. Currently, he is the Kids class instructor is and continuing his training under head instructor Robert Peters.

Programs & Class Schedule

We offer youth, boys and girls, BJJ classes (ages 6-15) every Monday and Wednesday from 6 PM to 7 PM, as well as every Saturday from 10 AM to 11 AM.

Our adult, men and women, BJJ classes (ages 16+) every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 PM to 7:30 PM, as well as every Saturday from 11 AM to 12:30 PM.

No contract, all memberships are month to month.
