Great Family Atmosphere, at a cost.

Gracie Morumbi is a great place to make friends. The students are very helpful, friendly, and willing to work with you. Staff and instructors are knowledgeable and more than willing to help. There are 4 locations in Ventura County which include Ventura, Camarillo, Port Hueneme & Thousand Oaks which makes training accessible to almost everyone in the area. Monthly fees are higher than other dojos. Fees are upwards of 150. 00 and increase once invited to advance training. Some students are paying upwards of 200. 00 while others pay less for equal benefits. Fees are contract based and their sales person will try to get you to sign upwards of a 2 year agreement/commitment with no opt-out to put on hold if need be. Classes seem unstructured and loosely taught. The Gracie name is used but is not a Certified Gracie training center through the offical gracieacademy. com website. There are no Gracie family members teaching there. I will continue to train here as I am committed to a contract. Once my agreement is met I will be looking for a more affordable option.
