Okinawa Goju-Ryu Karate-is one of the main traditional Okinawan styles of karate, featuring a combination of hard and soft techniques. This style of Karate is originated from NAHA, OKINAWA - It is an amazing martial art for men, women and children.
Taught by Sensei Mark Dwyer: Sensei Mark has been training Goju-Ryu Karate for 35 years. He started training when he was 17 years old with Sensei ...Michael Mancuso in Valhalla NY. Sensei Mark decided then at that young age, that Goju-Ryu karate would be a life long passion for him. At the age of 24, Sensei Mark opened his very first Dojo in Tarrytown N.Y & has not stoped teaching since!!
From Tarrytown, he went to Thornwood, then onto Chappaqua
Sensei Mark has now been teaching in Chappaqua for close to 25 years. He and his Karate teacher Sensei Michael Mancuso, to this day are dedicated members of Jundokahn Dojo, Located in Naha Okinawa. Sensei Mike currently hold the title of the North American area Directorfor Jundokan.
With this style of Karate, things are not changed unless.... it has in Japan!
November 2013, Sensei Mark was Promoted to 7th Dan in Okinawa
