Master Philip Baroody is a renowned martial artist and a 5th Degree Black Belt Master Instructor specializing in creative forms. He earned his Black Belt from Jhoon Rhee in 1986, after years of dedicated training and hard work. Baroody's commitment and dedication to the art of Tae Kwon Do were evident in the way he trained and approached every aspect of his martial arts journey.
Aside from his over 300 Tournament Championships, Baroody also overcame a chronic illness using Grand Master Jhoon Rhee's philosophy and meditations to overcome the illness. This experience allowed him to develop a deep understanding of the healing power of martial arts and inspired him to specialize in those with who find learning difficult. He was awarded ‘Instructor of the Year’ by Grand Master Rhee personally. Baroody has been the president of two non-profits, the Washington Youth Foundation, which taught inner-city kids Tae Kwon Do, and Galactic Kicks, which helps those with cancer participate in martial arts.
Baroody was best known for his precise hands and creative forms and is a two time World Champion as a member of the National Sport Karate Team. He has promoted over 500 Black Belts in his career and his expertise and mastery of Tae Kwon Do have led him to become one of the most sought-after instructors in the martial arts world. He has dedicated his life to teaching and sharing his experience with others, particularly those with special needs.
