Golden Eagle Martial Arts
The Galway Karate Club began in the 1972 under Master Joe Sagarese. Master Sagarese turned over the school in 1982 to Grand Master Paul Munchbach. Grand Master Paul Munchbach turned of the school to Shihan Chris Malley in December 2015.
Master Sagarese has trained with many of the top martial artists in the country and around the world. He is also a dedicated boxing coach and has trained several Golden Gloves and Empire State Games Champions.
Grand Master Munchbach has established himself as one of the best all around instructors and competitors in the Capital District. He is a member of the United States Martial Arts Association.
Shihan Malley is affiliated with several different competition associations and is a highly respected tournament judge. He has also trained several regional champions.

Programs & Class Schedule
Everyone's Welcome
Classes are Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting at 7:00 pm. This program is for everyone ages 5 and up. All students warm up practice basics together. Depending on the subject for each class students are divided into smaller groups by rank to work on what is required for their next rank. Each class finishes with the whole group participating in sparring. Students are eligible for sparring when they have completed four classes. Safety equipment is provided.
6:45 to 7:00 - Individual warm up and practice
7:00 to 8:15 - General class
8:20 to 9:00 - Advanced Class
Students are expected to participate in the general class and welcome to participate in the advanced class. The advanced class focus is on the green, brown, and black belt students.
Classes run throughout the school year.
