We joined as a family after spinning a spinwheel on Bethesda Row and winning a free lesson. From minute one GAMMA Academy's staff has been welcoming, friendly and professional. The other families in class have become partners and friends instantaneously. It's a great environment that I already see my shy son reaching out in, and my super energetic daughter disciplining herself to follow the rules. That's a win win for us. Our daughter joind the tiny tigers class and we are quite pleased so far. They meet her at her level and challenge her to learn real life skills. Thanks to Ms. Morrow and Master Giscombe for understanding our daughter and family so completely.

We love it here and have gone since the school opened. We recentely re enrolled for more time. The school is consistently clean, updated, and organized. Each instructor my son has had is professional and good with kids. It's a great school and its in a very very convenient location.

Our friends had been training here for a few montsh when they invited my daughters to come to class with them. Its been a smash hit since then. My daughters love it and I'm glad they are learning self defense.

My boys started about a year ago, and my wife and I have joined them in class. Each class is challenging for all of us, at our respective levels. We even take a Family class together. It's a blast! Each instructor supports us and knows each of our boys and what to do to bring out the best in them. We especially love the youth instructors, who get great results from even the youngest students.

I've trained many places for many years and did a lot of studying in Bethesda before I chose the school I would train at. Here's why I chise gamma instead of the other schools.

I tried the trial or short option at every school that I thought was worthwhile in the Bethesda and dc area. Gamma was patient and even suggested other schools I could try. They are all really looking out for the best for the students which is why everyone is so hapoy there.

Not only do my children train here, but I brought many friends to join, and we are all happy with classes and the experience. My son's instructors know him well, are kind and patient with him, and never have a negative thing to say. It means a lot as a mom to find a place where my son is supported and cared for. I have observed every class he has taken here and I believe they care for each child in a way that works for each individual, and that is something special. They are doing a drive right now for candy to send to soldiers, they supported my other son's pre-school donation drive (even though he doesn't even go yet- he's only 2!), and they have worked with us every step of the way, even freezing our program when my son had other obligations, until he was ready to come back to classes, at NO PENALTY OR COST. They really are amazing, we love it here.

My two children have gone here since GAMMA opened on Bethesda Row, and we have seen them grow in leaps and bounds. They are average kids, who have their own share of sibling issues, but they practice together without complaint, and help each other out in classes. It's been a wonderful experience to see them bond over something together. They are both very motivated by getting their next belt, or stripe, and motivated to impress their instructors, who make it clear that the only way to impress them is by working hard at home and at GAMMA. I've been training nearly my whole life. It's been a while since I've been in a school, and GAMMA Academy, Master Ron Giscombe, and the staff have been very welcoming and kind. I feel like i've never stepped off the matt. They worked with me even though I am only in the area for a short time, and accommodated my busy schedule. Go team Gamma!

I only have experience with their tiny tigers and little dragons classes, but my kids have had a very positive experience. They are always begging to come. My youngest, whenever we are on Bethesda Row, says "Karate? Karate?" even we are just getting a snack up the street. The instructors are positive and helpful, the staff bends over backwards for everyone, and all the kids and parents at the school seem very happy, too. Best of Luck GAMMA Academy! Signed up for kickboxing classes because the main instructor is a special forces army Ranger and all the people are friendly and supportive. I know i'm learning real techniques that will work, and its a fun workout.

My kids loved this place immediately. They had a bounce house during their fun times and they worked on listening skills in class. I signed up my kids immediately and have only great things to say, I highly recommend it.

My three boys love their instructors here- and they are kept on the right pace for each one. They have regular chats with me about how each one is doing, and my 11- 9- and 6- year old all fit right in. They've even gotten better behaved in school and at home thanks to some of the character lessons they reinforce here. Go Tea

Great instructors who care for the children.Called for a question and the lead isntructor helped me with answers. She was very friendly and polite. I cant wait for the grand opening; very excited!!

Opening in 2014, we won a package of lessons and started using it pre grand opening. Pleased so far, very friendly staff and my kids love them.

Have been working with the owners for years, my child has been training with his instructor for five years. They have great people skills and even better martial arts. I did a ton of research before selecting this instructor for my son, and now that they are moving to Bethesda, we are moving our training to Bethesda, as well. You just don't run into people like this every day.

Brand-new location in Bethesda Row is STELLAR and I love it! Can't wait to get started- we are pre-registered for the 2014 year to train as a family.
