I started training here simply because I always wanted to learn martial arts as a kid. I'm now pushing 40 and didn't really want to go to a "belt factory". I wanted to learn something that was reality based, useful, and not gimmicky. Well, Sifu Fuson is totally legit. The guy's in the martial arts hall of fame and it does not take long to figure out why. I have been taking all 3 of his arts (Kalsadapo, Kali, and JKD) for a year and half now and I just keep getting more and more excited about what I am learning. I truly see the "art" of these real combat-based systems. It's fun, and you will never learn it all. My class is full of people I now consider my friends. I plan on continuing to learn from Sifu Fuson for as long as he will teach me! I have no regrets.

I am happy with the services at this school. The instructors are very professional and take a personal approach in teaching. I enjoy that the prices are fair and the instructor has an excellent background. You will not find inflated costs and they teach at an easy to learn pace and make sure everyone understands what is being taught and why.

Very well explained techniques and a fun learning environment. The instructor is very knowledgeable and has a genuine concern for his students. I am impressed with the control and fluidity of his motion and his teaching methods.
He does not waste your time or money with the upsells, definitely the place I recommend

I have trained in 2 different Kenpo schools in others cities and after moving here the instructor was able to open my eyes to a whole new reality of effectiveness.
His easy to understand methods in Kalsadapo made me a much better martial artist.
I graduated college & moved away & my new karate instructor still watches me to figure out some of the principles I learned at Fuson's that he didn't even know. I still return to visit & update my training when I come into town for ND games.
Mr Fuson is an instructor I would recommend for all those who want to experience professional and easy to learn martial arts.

Sifu Fuson is the real thing

I am one the two original students of Sifu Fuson's school in Granger. I studied Kalsadapo and Jeet Kune Do there. I have studied martial arts for many years in my life. In addition to the Kalsadapo and JKD, I have a black belt in Kenpo and have dabbled in Tai Chi Chuan fighting style, Tae Kwon Do, Shotokan, and some Hapkido. Mr. Fuson is without a doubt the greatest teacher I have ever encountered. There are very few people who can trace their martial arts lineage to an all time great like Bruce Lee or Ed Parker; Mr. Fuson has direct lineage to both of them. His knowledge and technique is formidable, yet he is down to earth and approachable. In addition to Mr. Fuson's classes, he provided the opportunity to study at a seminar offered by Guro Dan Inosanto, Bruce Lee's longest standing and greatest student. Mr. Fuson knows him personally and introduced me to Mr. Inosanto. It is rare to meet someone who has studied the many arts Mr. Fuson has, it is even more rare to meet someone like him who has mastered them. His classes are well-paced, informative and challenging. Mr. Fuson's teaching approach is generous and gentle. I would absolutely recommend Sifu Fuson to anyone in Michiana interested in learning the martial arts. You cannot go wrong with him. In closing, there is one poster on this site who has detrimental things to say about Mr. Fuson. Pay him no mind. He is a disgruntled former failed student who has failed to meet his goals, and who needs a scapegoat for his vitriol. Mr. Fuson is a great instructor. No more needs to be said.

I have trained in a variety of arts and I have found the expertise from Mr. Fuson to be above average. This school does not sell you bogus programs and teaches effective martial arts and self-defense.
I have been a student here in both open classes, and private classes and am impressed by how well his teaching is plain and simple to what does work. His background is long and impressive. He teaches many different styles and is also ranked under top students of Ed Parker Kenpo & Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do as well as many other forms of martial arts. The instruction is carried out well and safely without any worry of harm.
Mr. Fuson is well respected and is honest and fair in his teaching and pricing. I like very much that he picks who he teaches and keeps the classes in control.
I have only seen him kick out 2 students over the years. One for having an ego and dissing other students and the other for making lies and aiding another school in taking students away while unlawfully slandering his students and personal reputation with ridiculous accusations in a childish fashion.
I most definitely would recommend this school and instructor to anyone who is looking for affordable and practical self defense and martial arts.

This is a great school and instructor. I am an original student and can confirm his rank. He teaches very well and has the best control ive seen. I have never seen anyone hurt
I have met his instructors and seen his copies of his ranks and even was a member of his organization he created.
As far as any negative reveiw I can say that is pure slander from a student who was dismissed after a failed blackmail attempt. The student claims many things all are false. And since I'm a senior student I can swear he never did anything close to what the disgruntled" student claimed.
The instructor learned from many JKD instructors and was ranked to instructor 'll evel by one of Bruce Lees students. He also continued to be a member of many organizations but as far as the grappling association Sifu Hartsell died in 2007. Sifu is ranked by him abd other JKD instructors and doesn't need to be with any one organization especially since he had his own. I also know for a fact kalsadapo(kenpo) is taught many places
Has students and black belts all over including overseas.
the former student needs to stop lying and take his own advise to look for the truth.
This is a great instructor and Very Professional school I highly recomend it

Amazing Martial Arts Instruction with a realistic approach

I have been to a lot of schools in my day ,but after visiting Fuson's Martial Arts with my nephew, I finally saw what real martial arts are all about. After just a brief visit I was shown techniques that were so simple and effective I was stunned at how anyone could use these in a realist manner with very little if any strength required.
The instructors credentials are beyond excellent , not to mention he is also a instructor under one Bruce Lee's top students !
If your looking for an art that will save your life and not waste your time with boring forms and breaking boards, then Fuson's is the place to go !
I received my blackbelt in Kalsadapo from Fuson's Eclectic Martial Arts after 5 years of study; you definitely earn your rank at this school unlike some others which are governed by making $$. Sifu Fuson's teaching approach is very simple and not flashy but effective. If you believe something he is showing you would not work in the real world he breaks down every move and explains the rationale behind the technique. If you find something on youtube or a movie you think would work better he can show you otherwise or agree with you if he honestly doesn't know a better technique.
By the way I am a female and was never treated any differently than the guys, nor inappropriately by the instructor. He was always professional and wanted to make sure all his students were safe and did not get injured. I was able to participate in many seminars as his understudy and even met Guru Dan Inosanto and trained with him!
I also feel like his classes are affordable which was really important to me since I was a student at the time. I recommend his academy.
