Full Potential Martial Arts provides authentic martial arts for adults and teenagers in San Diego, ages 14 and up. Whether you are looking to get in shape, take self defense lessons, or explore the deeper aspects of martial arts, you will feel right at home in our conveniently located studio (dojo) in the Carmel Valley neighborhood of San Diego. Classes are taught by Brian Sagi, a martial arts instructor and practitioner with over 20 years of experience.
Our training curriculum consists of Okinawan Shito-Ryu Karate; of Chinese Yang-Style Tai-Chi Chuan (Taiji); of the ground fighting and grappling arts of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (BJJ), Chinese Chin-na (Qinna), and Japanese Aiki-jitsu, Jiu-Jitsu and Judo; of practical Krav-Maga and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA); and of wooden and bladed weapons such as escrima sticks, knife, and sword. We also teach the healing arts of Qi-gong (chi kung) and Yoga, for your mind and body.
The martial arts Full Potential Martial Arts teaches encompasses internal martial arts as well as external martial arts – neigong and waigong. This allows beginning students to quickly develop their self defense skills, while allowing advanced martial arts practitioners to take their art to higher levels. Whether you have never tried martial arts before, or have been training for a few or for many years, Full Potential Martial Arts classes will work at your level and help you achieve your full potential.
You can expect several benefits from martial arts training:
1. Martial arts is a fun workout that will get you in shape and keep you in shape. Martial arts is also an excellent form of cross training for many other sports, and will help you stay healthy, balanced, and calm.
2. Our martial arts classes will teach you self defense, so you are safe whether you are at home, at work, or on travel.
3. By training in martial arts, you will develop your character. As your abilities increase, so will your sense of calm and well being.
4. You will join a long tradition of martial artists throughout the world – from the warm family of students in our dojo here in San Diego, to other organizations and practitioners around the world
