Doesnt even have legit lineage

I researched the master and his teacher and they are jot even legitimate lineage. It is a made up style branched off of ed parker kempo. The master there is obviously a bully because he has been bullied his entire life. He vicariously lives his resentments and hatred of his past hrough his students. Definately not what I want my child learning. The master thinks he knows it all and says MMA is useless. It is pretty obvious to any halfway intelligent person, that this guy has never fought in his entire life.

His idea of old ways is being verbally abusive to students because he does not know how to teach or encourage properly. My child took a trial class and said that he was the worst teacher he has had for anything and that he was very rude and demanding. I am sorry but only ignorant and stupid people train there.

While we are there to learn self defense and work on physical conditioning, I have found a family within this dojo. It is a quality way to spend time with my daughter and feel like we are a part of something larger. The instruction is top notch. The comradely is exceptional.

The Best-Kept Secret in Jackson!

I wanted my 9-year old daughter to learn to defend herself, but also to assimilate the humility, compassion, discipline, and responsibility that the martial arts will bestow. After one conversation with Sensei Sherwin Moore, I knew I was in the right place. He has the versatility and knowledge to bring old-school martial arts philosophy into a training program designed for modern students from a variety of ages, abilities, and backgrounds. I joined to support my daughter, and I ended up staying. Fudoshinka Dojo trains for the real world, not tournaments. Achievements are earned, not given, and when one of us moves up in rank we all attend to celebrate it. There really is a family vibe: we all help each other learn and we help out in the community. Sensei Moore's background in other arts, from Judo to Kali, means the students are cross-trained in different styles, armed and unarmed alike. At Fudoshinka Dojo, we are taught the "martial" and also the "art. " It is the real deal.

As a martial arts instructor myself, I recommend anyone to study under Moore Sensei. I have known him for many years. He is a man on honor and integrity, and he is able to instill these values into his students. With regards to classes, they are varied enough that his students are well rounded and quite knowledgeable in the combat arts. Fudoshinka Dojo is the place to learn martial arts.

Family oriented dojo

I have studied at other dojos in other styles and have found that not eveyone is the same. Fudoshinka dojo is grounded in strength through family. Sinse More is a dedicate family man, not only with his family but the familys of his students. He treats his classes as family and not just students.

The instruction is simple to where young people can understand. My 4 yr old works out on the sideline while his mother and I are in class. There are diffrent things that the dojo does for the kids to keep them out of trouble. Fudoshinka dojo is my favorit, and i would recomend it to anyone.

The head instructor (Sherwin Moore) claimed to be a Tracy International instructor for years and gave rank certificates under the Tracy International title. This was never true and the money collected under the Tracy name never went to Tracy International. This was confirmed by the Tracy organization's management.

He has since founded his own form of karate which appears to be a mixture of Shotokan kata and a few Tracy and/or Parker self-defense moves. He is pictured wearing a master's belt which by all accounts he awarded himself as he claims no instructor or family tree.

Potential students should most likely look elsewhere.

After being a part of another dojo where the "money makers" got all of the attention, there is NO doubt that Fudoshinka Dojo is the place to be! Sensei Moore has a passion for the art of Kenpo and encourages each and every student to be their best in all aspects of life...not just in class.

My entire family trains at Fudoshinka Dojo. It has a family atmosphere but is a serious martial arts training facility. Old school Japanese training that will inspire you to learn more and grow more in the Arts.
