Fort Collins Aikikai Aikido
Fort Collins Aikikai Aikido is a not-for-profit club dedicated to teaching the art of Aikido as created by Morihei Ueshiba (O'Sensei). Roughly translated AiKiDo means, "the Way of Unifying life Energy." The philosophy of Aikido is one of nonviolence and disarming a conflict without anyone being hurt or killed. Aikido focuses on blending and harmonizing movements and can be effectively utilized by anyone of any age, size, or gender. All are welcome.
Stephen O’Hara, Sensei, is a 3rd Dan in Aikikai Aikido with over 18 years of martial arts experience. He is taught by Ron Christenham Sensei (6th Dan) of Sarpy Aikido who studies under Robert Kubo Shihan (7th Dan) of Aikido of Hawaii International.

Aikido I @ 7 - 8:30PM
Aikido II @ 8:30 - 9:30PM
Saturday
Aikido I @ 10:30AM - 12 noon
Aikido II @ 12noon - 1PM
All students are welcome at all classes. Aikido-I focuses on techniques, movement, falling(ukemi), and conditioning. Aikido-II focuses more on deconstructing the details of the techniques. Aikido-II may also include more advanced practice, weapons, and defending against multiple attackers (Randori).
